Food Assistance
SNAP offers nutrition assistance to individuals and families that provides economic benefits to communities. SNAP helps people purchase food at participating supermarkets, groceries and farmers markets. End Hunger Connecticut.
CT Energy Assistance Program
Energy Assistance for winter heating. Applications accepted beginning September 1st. Contact New Fairfield Social Services (203) 312-5669.
Operation Fuel
Operation Fuel serves income eligible households. The program provides a one-time grant of up to $500. to assist families with all energy-type bills. Must apply for CEAP before applying for Operation Fuel for primary heat sources. If denied or exhausted, you may be eligible for grant benefit.
Financial assistance to eligible Medicare enrollees that can help pay Medicare Part B premiums, deductibles and co-insurance.

Tax relief program for elderly homeowners and totally disabled homeowners who are legal residents. Applications accepted February 1-May 15th each year. Income eligible and must be 65 old by December 31 of prior year or 100% disabled by Social Security. Must meet requirements of State and local statutes and ordinances.
